    For sure. Search the archives.

The Carter carb was used on many different vehicles. Generic kits may have all, some, or none of the parts used specifically for Jeep.

Get a good kit from a supplier who understands the Jeep application specifics

I'm a bit confused by it as well, but it does seem as he meant fuel pump.

To add to this pay close attention to gasket fit. Sometimes they don't fit right when it comes to separating passages and such. Even what seems to be a good kit might have a malformed gasket, especially the carb top gaskets.

Sorry to confuse any one. I was checking my accel pump by just pushing on it by hand. I found by pumping the throttle I was not getting the same movement on the accel pump. I swapped the linkage that goes to the slide this helped. Then I changed to a different check valve on the accel pump circut. I got better flow after doing this. All said and done I increased my mpg to 15. Mix of hwy and small town diving. I went up 5 miles per gallon. My plugs look great. Much happier with the yf. Next step finishing rear pto/ overdrive.

That is one of the common items that gets confused in different rebuild kits. Also the check ball and/or weight is frequently lost by folks "rebuilding" the carb.
