12v Timing Light On 6v System?

    Want to check the timing on my 6v system, only have a 12v timing light. Can this be done? Light is too dim to to light up the timing marks hooked to 6v.

    Set up a 12V battery close by and use it.

    Or use a 6v lantern battery in series with the light and the jeep battery.
