Aluminum Radiator Lower Outlet Issue

I'm attempting to replace the original leaking radiator in my 69 CJ5 and have hit a road block. The lower outlet nearly hits the oil filter. The "original" radiator had a shorter tube and was slightly angled up, and the PO crammed in a hose with a sharp bend in it. My question is, do I have the outlet cut and replaced with an angled one, which I think is what it should be, or do I relocate the oil filter and use a different lower hose?

    Thinking out loud.

What about just trimming back the outlet? It looks long enough to still have something for the hose to clamp to.

You don't want to cut the outlet shorter because you will lose the raised ring that keeps the hose from blowing off under pressure. I believe the original angled to the right and up. A good aluminum welder should be able to cut yours out and reposition it.

Thanks all. I sent the radiator back to Ledfoot racing and they repositioned the outlet at a 45 degree angle. Came out perfect.
