Another wiring harness question

    I've been looking at a replacement harness in the Quadratec (or was it 4WD Hardware?), made by Omix-Ada. It's listed as a direct replacement for up to '66 CJ5's. Is there really a difference between the '66 and my '67? The harness is a little pricey at $360-$370, but as in my rear end question, I really don't have much time at my disposal and like the idea of a plug and play harness.

    dohc281 It is what it is.

    I've go an EZ wire harness waiting to be installed and it cost $165.00 plus shipping. When it warms up I plan on installing it.

    I've looked at the Painless and Centech harnesses. Problem is, they aren't plug and play. I honestly don't have the time for that kind of install and am willing to pay for the convenience of plug and play.

    There is no way that an original wiring harness will be plug & play. Because these darn things were almost made on the assembly line from several different sets of wires.
    The EZ wire shouldn't take more than a day to install. I can't see the factory nightmare fitting in any faster. (Just my opinion!!)

    i agree with mcruff. after removing odd add ins and redoing mine according to the manual but upgrading it from head to tail and backup lights, it seems that ez wire would be less $$ and it appears to be less intense than the others.

    i installed the ez wire just before i got to guam. it is very fague with its directions, and you have to make several changes in how the kit tells you. its is a very nice kit, however i found it very time cosuming due to the fact that it is a very generic kit. other than that i had no real probelms with it. not sure what kit you are looking at, but i got the one with the most circuits. that was really nice cause i used all the unneaded circuits (ie: pwr windwows, locks, etc) for other stuff such as aux lights, cb, reverse driving lights, etc. it was nice to have all the extra ckts and i still have more to use if i ever need them) its nice to know that its already wired into the fuse box
