I'm looking to smooth out the ride in my 56 cj5. I was wondering if anybody had any experience with the rancho rs9000x shocks(the 9 setting in cab adjustable ones)

Typically referenced as "can up" or "can down", depending on the position of the reservoir.

AFAIK, the Rancho 9000 series can be run either way. I run mine can down.
I really like the adjustable feature. Haven't broken a manual adjustment knob yet, and I've been running this set for ~10 years.
