    HI Guys,

Next is the removal of the Ross steering box. Looks like a clamp at the top of the box and a couple of bolts. OR do I have to pull the whole steering shaft, tube, wheel, etc? Any comments, suggestions, etc? :?

I don't know if it was the best way but I pulled the box, column, and shaft out the bottom of the jeep.

    I JUST did this -
I pulled like hell on the column from the top after loosening that clamp -
Then after about an hour I came in and searched this forum and found that you have to remove the column with the box - after pulling the steering wheel -
Not too bad of a job once you realize it won't come out from the top -

If you take the center floor pan out it comes out easily, I took mine out this way since I had already removed the engine.

you can remove the column from the box in the jeep by pullin the three screws out and working the worm gear out of the box, it is attached to the bottom of the steering tube. this is a good way to go if you can't get the steering wheel off. if the wheel does come off, then taking the whole box and column out the bottom is the easiest way. :coffee:
