    Hi Guys,

I'm trying to remove my left rear axle on an offset D44 (1967). The right one came out with a slide hammer. I can't even get the left one to budge a little bit. Is it possible there is a clip on the left one? If not, what suggestions do you have for getting her out,,,bigger hammer? How about a lube spray, will that help.

    Thanks ten million.

No clip, bigger hammer or puller needed.

Have you tried the "reversed-brake-drum-improvised slide-hammer" method?
Surprisingly it seems to work when even dedicated pullers won't. Just an idea.

Got it. I had to put gloves on so the shock vibrating through the hammer didn't hurt so bad. I guess I wasn't hammering hard enough.
