Yes Another Painless Wiring Harness Question?

I have not found the answer looking though the forum. I followed the TSM for 75 cj5 and the painless wiring diagram. I connect the the wires correctly to the spartan turn signal unit. I have only the left front turn signal flashing. When I move the switch on the spartan the left flasher is out and no flashing on the right side. The rear does not flash and the running lights work. I am using the painless harness PFR 10150. Any ideas would be helpful!

Sorry to be a drag ... trace out the circuits on paper (original and Painless) and see if you have it right.

    jpflat2a what's that noise?

So was this Spartan operating properly to begin with ?
Could be a ground problem; don't let the lamps hang out of the body.
Other than that, I have to agree with Tim.

I have traced out the wires on the diagram for the original and painless. I even got a full blow up of the original. All are correctly connected. For the spartan I don not know it was with the jeep went I bought it with no wiring harness in the jeep when purchased. When the turn signal in switch to the left everything lights up dash lights and all turn indicators.

Sparton made several different models and each had a different color wiring. Is yours the SCS-3R6?

I trace all the wire and they are correct. I have the harness in two section. Front is working correctly. When I connect the rear part of the harness(brake light, running lights, turn signal) all light turn signal light up and the dash lights up. When I have it just touching the and play with the connector then the dash light stop flashing and the turn signal works and indicator work for the left side but when switching to the right the signal works but not the indicator. Very frustrating! Any and all help!

You'll need to disassemble the sparton & verify what each wire does.

Here's a very good explanation of how turn signal work done up by one of our members-

Found a thread that stated 1157 bulb top filament should not blink. Well my blinks so I swapped the wires and it is still blinks. Is this in the harness or the light switch?

    I figured out the problem.

I was using the black wire off the light assemble AS A grounding! That was wrong:banghead:. Causing all the problems. Reading in a perverse post stating the 1157 bulb top filament should not flash. I was connecting the both wire to same post. I figured out that black off light assembly is turn/brake light and red is the park lights. I ground it to the stud off the light assembly and all works:bananatool:
I want to thank you all for helping me in this problem. It looking like it going to be running end of the month or beginning of March!
AGAIN THANK YOU ALL FOR THE HELP!!!!
