Ok guys. Just how rare are the Kelsey-Hayes 15x8 steel and aluminum slotted rims?

I have to confess that my flattie had the 15x8 rims on it when I bought it, but I had to go with aftermarket rims when I went over to discs on the front. I sold the K-H rims before I knew what they were really worth. Besides, they were pretty useless to me, and were taking up precious garage space.

I'd like to find a set of the cast aluminum Renegade rims, if it is possible to find ones that aren't really boogered up. Is this a pipe dream, or should I look for another type of rim? There are LOTS of look-a-likes out there, but the originals would be nice.

I'm also going to start looking to see of there is an OEM-type wheel from a Ford truck that is a stock-looking rim but is 16". This way I can have a set of 7.00-16 NDTs for show, (and state inspection time! ) and then switch back to the 31x10.5s as the mood strikes. A set of the 9.00x16 NDTs also struck my fancy, but without a major lift (not in the plan) there is no way that a 35" tall tire will fit, no matter how neat it would look. :(

The NDTs look neat, and work pretty well off-road and in deeper snow but they absolutely SUCK on ice or in the rain. The flattie is going to be an almost daily driver in the summer for my grueling 1.5 mile (each way) commute.

    Ideas?

A decimal point to the left of what I gave $tockton for these KH wanna-bes?

    ;)

No worries - you didn't know and you can't go back now. I've junked a fair amount of stuff I'd like to have back now...

Thought I would throw out a little info that I know, that might help you find some. Mine which are aluminum slotted rims, and they have K A on them. Also even though they are American Racing Equipment rims they are made in England :?:

Thanks for pointing these out Beeser. Now I don't feel too too bad.

Here's your chance Mike. They're even relatively close to you, so UPS won't be too bad! :D

No way I'm switching now anyway - like anyone would pay what I did for these Stocktons...

How much would a set of the Alum. slotted Renegade wheels go for? (I just so-happen to know where a set are , even though their not mine).

Just curious - I'm not really looking to sell.

Would your friend be interested in discussing it?

Can anyone post a pic on what these look like.... I picked up some aluminum rims in a bunch of 'stuff' and wonder if I have some now.

I don't know Warloch, but I got the impression they're talking about the wheels you see on the ecj5 banner that pops up with the blonde in the miniskirt and the three Renegades?

Hmmm - I think I have 4 of them that were a 'take them out of my garage' type deal. Any special marks I should look for?
