Hi, I ordered a replacement bushing for the lower steering column. I am actually far from my jeep and can't physically verify the measurments. I just feel that the 999769 part I ordered is too big. I took a picture of the worn bushing a while ago. I have a pic but no measurement. My belief is that the original bushing was 3/4" ID and something like" 1" OD. The part I received as 999769 is 3/4" ID and 1 7/16" OD. Do I have the good part or I am missing something. Thanks. 20201013_144758.jpg 20201114_074218.jpg

Searching deeper into the web, I think the replacement bushing should look like this 7275 one. Which is the right one? CJSBUSH-7275.jpg

I know it's an old thread, but this might help someone.
I just replaced the lower steering bushing PN 999769 and it took about 30 minutes.

Here is the original 2 piece bushing put together as 1 unit (the original post was only the inner piece). I used a section of heavy PVC pipe to knock it out.

Here is the new replacement bushing. It's a tight fit as it should be but I used a piece of wood and a hammer to tap it in. Now the steering is nice and tight and no more slop in the shaft. As soon as I can remove the steering wheel I will replace the upper bearing.

It looks like the new bushing replaces both parts of the old bushing with a single part, is that right?
