Just fired up my rebuilt 225 V6 and it went well. Brought it up to temp and everything seems great. Just want to check with you experts that I am correct in deducting there is no valve adjustment on these engines. I have hydraulic lifters, and non adjusting push rods. I just dont see any way to adjust them up, but I guess I wanted a second opinion because my experience is limited outside of a SBC. Thank You!

If you have hydraulic lifters, no edjustment is needed, provided the heads/deck hasn't been milled excessively.
Though not common, aftermarket solid lifter cams will require adjusable pushrods.

Yes, I would go further and claim that hydraulic lifters were invented specifically to eliminate the need for valve adjustments.

Thank you. Just needed to check myself. Even in the SBC I would always run the valves to make sure the rocker tension was OK, so it feels like I forgot something. But alas I am just over thinking it, yet again....

To eliminate maintenance valve adjustments maybe. Even stock small and big block Chevy V-8’s need initial adjustment and periodic adjustment as components wear even though hydraulic lifters. Other vehicles too. It’s just that many vehicles have no provision to do so, the 225 and 231 being one of them.
