Made In India Speedometer And Gauge Set.

Any one here used one of these gauge sets? I bout a set for an old BSA I restored a few years ago and was pleased how well and smooth they worked and the price is defiantly right.

How do they make a 6 gauge set with a speedo and ship it from India for $32.00?

 

It's a remarkable value. Labor is cheap in India, but this seems like an extraordinary value if it works.

If I had a Jeep with those instruments, I would take a chance on these parts.

 

At that price I would buy them for spares.

 

The Dash in my 56 CJ5 is so cut up with speaker, gauge and switch holes, that I plan on covering it with sheet aluminum and starting over. My original speedo is pretty much a rusted solid POS so I thought I'd go with the smaller 3 3'8" speedo with a set of 2" gauges and I know once the dash is made if they turn out to be junk I can always buy Auto Meter or other gauges to fit the holes.

 

I am reluctant to order gauges and other Jeep parts from the Ebay sellers from India.

Last year I noticed one of them had listed a gauge set and the listing had a picture of a set which had been pirated from QTM's Ebay store. I told Matt Fox about it and he was finally able to get Ebay to require the seller to remove that picture from their listing. That told me that particular seller was not being honest about the quality of what they were actually selling.

 

Bought that set awhile back for my 3A build. The main problem is the speedo is geared wrong. The rest of the guages worked but very cheaply made.
