Fuel Lines

I am not looking at making everything original equipment. I am ready to start running fuel lines from the tank to the carb. I have a CJ6 with a 258. I don't completely understand the vent system to the tank. In the tech manual "fuel system" 4-5, the tank vent lines go to a liquid check valve. From there it goes to a cannister. What is the simplest method to accomplish the venting?

Should I buy 5/16" fuel line and bend it? I have not found preformed lines for a CJ6.
    Would stainless be better?
Is there some sort of "protector" for the fuel line?
I saw an inline filter with two outlets?

If I had these pieces, I would use them. It's a simple system.

Stainless is very hard to work with. I'd use plain plated steel. IMO with the type of use these Jeeps get today, it will outlast you. As I recall, it goes inside the frame rail. The stone guard is for brake line, mostly for the exposed areas like on top of the axles. Was never used for fuel line.

The fuel filter has a nipple for the return line. It is 1/4" line.

Are you referring to the double outlet filter?

    Thanks again timgr.
I do have a factory air cleaner.
Looking at MTS drawings, does the JLCV-1 include the EMSV-1 ?

I will email the MTS company for more info.

I need to install the fuel line to the pump and carb. Then I will have to make a rotisserrie to work on the body.
