Cj Windshield Frame Vs Yj Windshield Frame

    Howdy,

    A friend of mine gave me a new windshield frame for a YJ Wrangler. I also have a stock 69 CJ5 windshield frame.

    Is there any benefit to using the YJ frame over the CJ? Better windshield wipers? Stronger hinges?

    I understand it’s sacrilege on a level...

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    If you have a top, it won't fit with the YJ windshield.

    If you have a windshield with bottom wipers now, there's not much advantage in function.

    The YJ windshield is a good option if your original windshield is rusted away and you can't afford a premium price for the correct replacement.

    The CJ5 frame looks decent. I will plan on using it. The wipers appear to be vacuum operated if I recall correctly. They are also mounted at the top of the windshield frame. A bit more classic looking.

    I would say the visibility is much better with the bottom mount wipers
    glass is much larger . later CJ or wrangler windshield nope don't do it
