I have my front body panels off redoing the motor. When I put them back on I was thinking of putting putty tape where they come together. Is that a good idea?

Seam sealer is whats suppose to go there, Beechwood sells it in a roll if memory serves.

I wonder if we're talking about the same thing. Putty tape is used on RV's to seal seams and comes in rolls.

    Gregg,

When you figure this one out, let me know. I need to get the right stuff too. :D

    jpflat2a what's that noise?

flatfenders came with what looked like thin strips of fire hose
whatever you use, you don't want it to retain moisture
strip caulk might be what you are talking about; would probably work, comes in black or white
I don't think you need an excess amount though

Can you still get the fire hose stuff?

The stuff that goes in there is paintable. it doesn't get hard but stiffens up like rubber or RTV.
