Does anyone have an automotive engine machine shop that they would recommend in the Bryan- College Station, Austin to Brenham area of Texas? It looks like a full rebuild on the '64 CJ F134 is in order as it has sat since '84 and will not budge after soaking for months with Marvel, PB and even Hydrotex Essentialube which has always freed anything I tried it on. I will also need a good transmission rebuilder and transfer case shop.

I used a guy in Seguin and I feel he knows his stuff. And when a problem popped up, he handled it. I checked with him recently regarding the Willys wagon 226 rebuild and unfortunately he is 6 months out.

Apparently plenty of people have confidence in him. :)

Thank you for the tip. I may give them a shout. They sound like they have a heck of a following, working on a Riddler Award level candidate.

His son will probably answer the phone, but Rick is the owner and the guy who actually puts them back together. He does all sorts of engines from oldies like these to racing, to big diesel to modern, etc.
