This thread is a year old but I wanted to run this by.

Your bracket is setup for your adjustable sensor to point to your teeth, i.e. the outer rim of the balancer itself. Kyle, @Norcal69 , set his up to be on the backside to point at the end of the bolt itself, meaning the bolt is pointing directly at the tip of the sensor.

My thought is to use a simpler bracket, similar to yours, that doesn't need a bunch of twists or elevation changes. I want to move the sensor back behind the balancer itself, and just run some bolt studs through so they protrude enough for the sensor to pick them up, but from the side rather than the end. Seems there'd be plenty of mass for the sensor to pick up.

Sort of like pointing your finger out and measuring at the joint passing by rather than pointing at the end of the finger as the finger is pointing right at it, as Kyle has done. As long as the balancer isn't wobbling from side-to-side I'd think this method would be simpler and just as effective, if not more so. No need to alter the bolts, just run them out as space allows and sense it from there. They would have to be perfectly spaced on the balancer itself. You could even grind the bolt threads flat on one side if need be, due to the sensor not having enough mass to register. But I don't think mass would be a problem.

I plan to give that a go.

@truckee4x4 , do you have any interest in sending out one of your brackets? No worries either way, I may be designing something a bit differently anyway.

But thanks to all of you for running this gamut through its entire course. I've contacted both Holley and FiTech in an effort to get them to jump on this as Howell has done.

Thank you! Are you willing to ship plans to individuals if prepaid?
