OK, well I'll just duck out of this conversation.

Any chance anyone has a picture of where the mounting points would be for this? Most important would be the bracket that holds the lever.
    Thanks.

If I’m following this correctly, then you’re wanting to rebuild your e-brake on the 11” drums? First, as you probably know, those backing plates are not original to your 67. So you will need to engineer your own brackets, cable stops and suitable locations for them. Secondly, in case you don’t know, those 11” backing plates with the e-brake cable mounts are really hard to find. I think you’ll find that a foot pedal will work better on these than a hand-pull / cane type lever. I bet a YJ pedal retrofit would work.

All the cables from an intermediate cj5 (72/75) should work. PartsDude will have some this stuff. Lastly, I’m with Tim on this. Line locks are great for 4-wheeling… temporarily holding the jeep on a hill after a stall for example (mine are electric…easy and fast), while the mechanical parking / e-brake is just that. There is nothing wrong with the t-case parking brake when they’re working, but I too think the wheel-drum e-brake is an upgrade both for clearance and function.

    I'm just gonna :dhorse:
But line locks don't work well in an emergency and dead men tell no tales.

I also hate the driveline brake because it doesn't work well in an emergency with open diffs....
Now I know people say it works great and mine does work good but when you pull that handle with enough force to save your :censored: you are likely to loose traction on one rear wheel, at that exact moment you will :poo: your pants.

Yeah they have their place, but not as an emergency brake. Mechanical brake for that.

Thank you very much for the detailed response. Very helpful.
That is exactly what I am trying to do. I think that the next step will be to buy all of the parts possible, lay it out, and then figure out what I need to fabricate or what I need to outsource.
The tub is coming off the frame today. That may or may not make it easier to rationalize what I need to do!
