Bought the Jeep, bought a Waulk's harness, slap it in. Then I am "no fuses?" I plan to do in line ones with the blade style fuses. My question, what have folks fused & how many amps? Thanks

Stock heater is 7.5 Amp, swapped blower motors from other vehicles are 15A typically.
You can fuse based on wire gauge like household breakers or go with a lighter fuse when you know the exact wattage.

    Can you list your circuits?

Standard stuff. Lights (fuse on switch), heater, back up lights, turn signals, wipers, horn, emergency flashers, gauge cluster/gauges. no radio. So the lights are covered, add one for the heater. What else? The FSM doesn't show any fuses but I'd like to not burn up the Jeep.

I used the Walck's harness & only added fuses for the non-stock items like the sound system & spot light. With fresh wires the odds of having a short are very low, the factory engineers knew what they were doing.

This was the spirit I installed with. Other than cutting a wire or something nothing is drawing much amperage other than the blower motor and the head lights (already protected). I am adding a plow but it utilizes a solenoid so I am running basically control voltage to that.

My Jeep had a rats nest of wiring when I bought it, and none of the lights were working. So I ripped out all the wiring and started from scratch with a bluesea 12 circuit fuse panel. My Jeep is pretty bare bones - no heater, etc. I’m currently using 7 slots:

    Cigarette lighter -5a
    Backup lights -15a
    Radio -10a
    Ignition -30a
    High beam relay -30a
    Low beam relay -30a
    Horn relay -10a

while the light switch has its own resetting fuse, I installed H4 e-code bulbs and relays, hence the fuse for the lights.

I really like Bussmann's 15300 ATM distribution blocks, available in a number of different configurations for fuses, breakers, relays, and bussing options. Waytek Wire has these,
    https://www.waytekwire.com/products/1369/Power-Distribution-Modules/

I have three of those wired in my 3B: one all fuses/breakers and two with a mix of relays.

if you have access to a bench top powersupply, you can use that to apply 12-14v to your accessories and see how much amps are drawn, then put in a fuse that's a few amps higher

It may be overkill but anything is an improvement on the original Lucas Electronics installed in my Triumph TR4A (below). I had a few custom needs combining original switches with modern needs. The main weakness of Lucas was their switches. So, I have all switches activating relays which then carry the load. In addition, I fused everything. And as stated above, "fuse based on wire gauge", and you will have few problems down the road. The few you have, easy to troubleshoot.

And for those of you that aren't familiar with Lucas Electronics, they are known for their other name, "Prince of Darkness". They had special three-way switches: off, flicker, and dim. Lucas, the reason British drink warm beer (refrigerators too). Lucas motto: "Get home before dark". Lucas, inventor of the first intermittent wiper.

If only-------- Similar to fiat, anything they designed was crap. Maybe Omix Ada's mentor.

This was Christmas morning when my wife surprised me with a 68 MGB. Notice I’m smiling in the picture, because I had yet to experience the joy of Lucas electronics.

I had a 73 Fiat 850 sport spider. Absolute trash. Can you believe they used to build fighter planes?

My friend John used to speak of cars getting infected with LUCASITUS. The first component goes and then the next, and the next, and the next, and the next.......
