With a goal of putting IH T19 wide ratio gears in a Ford T19 case, I haven’t been able to confirm and source the input shaft to adapt to a Dauntless.

I have searched here and the internet with unclear answers to the following questions: Is the Ford T18 input shaft the same as the T19 input shaft (of the same ratio)? Also, are the gears from an IH wide ratio T19 the same as a Ford wide ratio(6.32) T19? I believe I saw a post on the CJ2A page that made mention of T18 input shafts having two different versions. Both of them being 17 tooth, but different pressure angle cuts. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

There are 2 different 17 tooth T18 shafts, the difference being the diameter of the area where the synchro ring goes.
    I know nothing of T19's...

Yes the cone clutch surface diameters will vary from Fords to Jeeps.
Ford cone clutches are larger diameter.
And so the Ford bronze blocking rings will also be larger diameter.
This implies certain T18 parts cannot be mixmatched between Fords and Jeeps.
Not sure what diameter cone clutches that IH used.
I suppose they are smaller diameter like the Jeep ?

The size of the mainshaft pocket in the back of the input shaft is also a different size. To use a T-18 input with a T-98 mainshaft, you need these special sized roller bearings from AA: https://www.advanceadapters.com/5034

As I understand it, if the tooth counts match you can generally swap Ford T-18 inputs into Ford T-98 transmissions using the above special roller bearings. I plan on doing that with a T-98 I have here. I have no knowledge about Jeep/IH T-98s.

Might do a search as I’ve covered this many times before on here.
