I am putting disc brakes on the rear 44 (flanged) Everything is straight forward, but there is an issue with on bolt that does not clear. One of the base bracket bolts does not clear with the spacers provided.

My question is, should I leave that bolt out, grind it down or add grade 8 washers to clear it?

Here is an image of what I am running into.

Well no grinding on the bolt head, it would be nonexistent.

Looks like my choices are leave it out or grind on the bracket.

I’d cut that section of plate out with a hole saw, then weld a small tab “bridge” over the hole.

    That is an option, thanks.

I'm more curious on my research that no one mentions this issue. I find it hard to believe it is just my set up.

Everyone else probably leaves that bolt out and looks the other way.

That's what you get for trying to do it right. :D

Tap the axle flange to accept a stud and cut the stud to be flush. Use red loctite to secure it. That bracket is just not made correctly.
