Removing S Lines To Brakes

    If you cut the S-lines, you can pull the wheel cylinder and put it in a vice. Some heat from a propane torch and some vice grips will get the old fitting out once you have better access.

    I actually have them pre-bent as they came in the kit I got from Inline Tube. See the link below:

    and I also got these from them, seem to be good quality and came with all of the accessory clips, distribution blocks, etc.

    I figured that if I cut it I can get a long 12 point socket on it and just get it out that way. Am I wrong in my thinking?

    You'll probably get it off with a socket. As noted, 6 point is better. However, I've never had heat and vise grips fail once the fitting gets rounded off.

    Haha yeah fire and vice grips always win. I have 6 point sockets as well, I guess I'll use them.
