Dauntless Op Pump Bypass Spring Issue.

    I reported in my other post about oiling issues, that my oil pressure was low (20 PSI at 1800 RPM). I replaced the bad (out of the box!) lifter and it ran well. But now the OP was down to 10-15 PSI. So I pulled the bypass spring out and discovered it had gone flat. The spring was suppose to stick out past the end of the housing 7/16". It was almost flush. I replaced the spring with another that came with the pump kit, and now I have 40 PSI. Just a heads up to those that are rebuilding their pumps. The made in China springs are of VERY poor quality.
