I have a full set of dealer installed molded carpet for my 74 cj5. However it being 48 years old it is in poor condition. I would like to use it for patterns if I can find a source for the material. It almost looks like that indoor/outdoor carpet you see on boat decks, but it is a lot softer. Any ideas? I agree, the carpet is a ''snap-in" design and was easily removed for cleaning and or drying which I often did. I usually just left it out during bad weather and installed it when taking longer road trips in summer.

Back when I did SSDutch I found some black, short-nap carpeting at Home Depot that worked well. We used the Jeep for beach runs, so having carpet for bare feet was nice.

I found some there also. Bought three rolls as the price was right and made in USA. Used two rolls on my garage floor
to replace some 30 year old take-out from an apt. building. Have not put the other in the Jeep yet.

I have that exact same carpeting in my 77, and I agree with Twin2 its like a trunk like carpet (not a full or cut pile). Have you tried a local trim shop, usually they have suppliers or catalogs with that type stuff.
