Hello everyone, I’ve been reading a bunch about what I might be able to do with a project. Might be taking on a build of a 1959 Jeep that has been dormant for a while. From what I can tell, frame was redone, tub is on the frame and rolling. No drivetrain. Was researching options of v6 or v8. Hoping to be able to have best of both worlds, on road keeping up with traffic and off road crawling. Looking for solid insight on what I can do with this project.

    Welcome from Oklahoma!
With a blank slate like that there is not much you can't do with your project. The only limitations I can think of is 1) the early jeeps have lightweight frames and may need beefing depending on what you put in it and 2) up through '71 the front clips are a few inches shorter so it is a little tighter squeeze for V8's although it has been done very successfully many times.

Hello, I have a TBI 4.3 in mine. Plenty of power and pretty good fit with a Saginaw steering swap. Really comparable to a 225 but easier to find.
