Can anyone help me shed light on the correct trim number for a 1966 with the red 1/3 & 2/3 seat? In the early parts book it shows L-73. In a later parts book it shows T-255. Looking to get a new Paint/Trim tag made and would like to get the correct number, if possible.

Per Mark Olsen, T-255 is correct for 1965 2/3-1/3 in Red Vinyl.

For what its worth, my original ‘64 Tuxedo Park with 1/3-2/3 pleated seats in presidential red has the original firewall trim as 172. My Parts book w-1195 R1, dated December 1, 1970, shows three red upholstery listings for 1/3-2/3 seats.
L-73 code, presidential red, option 255 (Tux only) 1-1/2” pleated
M-11 code, presidential red, option 248 (all CJ &Tux)
N-72 code, presidential red, option 172 (all CJ &Tux) pleated
Note that the “option” number above is the one used on the firewall tags under “trim”. From this, I would conclude 172, 248, or 255 could be correct. Generally, the lower the number in the same color, the earlier build date.
