    Thats some pretty serious rust blistering the front fenders for a $32K vehicle. Other than rust, looks nice.

    It’s crazy to me that 10-20 years ago, he’d find it hard to get $3200 for that.

    If you ever pull a front fender off an original Scout ll, if your lucky, there might be a tiny bit of paint overspray on the inside. Usually 90% is just bare (rusty) steel.
    I’ve also heard stories that the rolls of metal that IH used were second-rate due to the rolls being left for extended periods out in the weather. One of my neighbors growing up in Cincinnati had been a line worker in Indiana though the ‘60s building the IH trucks. He used to say they built them with rusted steel.
