    Hey cj folks!

putting my Dana 18 on the Novak adapter the instructions don’t mention torque spec to the for the highlighted bolts. I know the main shaft is 125ft/lbs but what about the 5 on the outside? IMG_5792.jpeg

lock washers/loctite are very much necessary. just get them good and tight, or if nothing else find the original spec from a jeep manual.

Those torque values may be high using an aluminum adapter.
"nice and tight" is a good value, especially for the single bolt on the opposite side, which is inaccessible for a torque wrench.
Lock washers and/or blue loc tite would fix any loosening issues. You can also install studs, which eliminates the bolts moving in the aluminum adapter.

I always use studs in the lowest 2 bolt holes, it helps a bunch when you're laying under the Jeep doing the tcase bench press.

if you are set on having a torque value, just a generic chart for 3/8" grade 5 will get you close enough. Bout 30 ft lbs.. Given the cast material it's going into though I might back off a hair and say 25..
