I am scraping out all of the rubber spray-in bed liner that covers the entire inside of the body tub and I noticed the stamped "Jeep" logo on the passenger side panel cowling is higher than the drivers side by several inches. is this normal?
I thought I had one too many Pabst's but I did some looking at pictures of intermediates and there does seem to be some differences, Just wondered if maybe mine was wrecked at one time and the replacement panel was different.

Several inches is a lot. Pabst never did that for me. Probably a cheap reproduction fender. Just don't know which one without measuring a correct Jeep. The good thing is
that only you will notice it but only when having a Pabst.:D

you can only see one side at a time....I once put grab handles on a customer's truck, the tape i used to mark the holes got flipped end for end and the handles ended up two inches off. the customer didn't notice till next year after he got in a fender bender, I told him they were his and hers and he bought that explanation .

The intermediates used a different font than the early’s. From ‘72 to ‘74(?) the embossing was high on the cowl like the early’s but the “J” has a bar top, with the rest being lower case.
For ‘75, the embossing is low, nearer to the level of the door opening. I think it also lost the “bar” J. This lower location continued to the Chrysler era.
Maybe your body side/cowl was replaced sometime in the Jeep’s life?

That's exactly the scenario, the left side has the Jeep logo lower and towards the door opening. Either it was wrecked or more likely it was replaced because of rust. The left side seems rust free but the right side is an experiment in bondo application.
