Is it possible to remove the Ross box in an early 5, through the floor? In other words, it looks like with the trans tunnel / floor panels removed, there would be enough room to pull the box.

Of course, I could just get started and see if it’s possible, but I’d rather not get it torn apart only to find out it can’t be done.

    Thanks!

4 cylinder of V6? On my V6, it was possible to pull it out the bottom after removing the turn signal, steering wheel, and left-most floorbaords, but I could not get it out the top. I have no idea about a 4 cylinder Jeep.

I don't think you will be able to do that regardless of whether a 4 Cylinder or V6, but it isn't hard to remove them underneath, if the Jeep is up on stands or ramps. You just have to turn it a little to clear stuff. I always remove the driver side fender for this, makes it a lot easier to get to everything.

This is a V6. If it will come out through the bottom, that’s fine too. I’ve only ever removed them when the entire tub off the frame.

    Thanks!

I had to take off the exhaust to get mine out through the bottom.

I usually pull mine up through the floor pan up into the cab. With my 64 cj5/f134, you can pull the whole thing up as a unit with the steering wheel attached too!
