IMG_1087.jpeg IMG_1089.jpeg I have a 1974 cj5 (amc 304). I just replaced the throttle cable (the previous one snapped). I got it mostly attached, except for i am struggling on getting it attached correctly to the pedal. The pedal just stays on the floor, i cant seem to get it hooked up where the pedal is normally. What am i doing wrong?

Is all of the slack out of the cable and is the return spring attached on the carb? Did you get the right cable? These are just a few of what could be wrong. Pictures of where it attaches to the carb would help. Hope you figure it out.

Are you sure that spring is in the right place? I can't understand what it does in that location.

That spring doesn't belong there just a washer and cotter pin. The cable has way too much slack.
