    Hello,
I have a ‘75 with the 258. It currently has a new Weber DGAV 33B1 carb and a Holley Ele fuel pump.
Not starting/running well. Wanting to keep the carb and put the correct mechanical pump on.
Need to know if this carb should be kept on this jeep or change to a different one. If keeping this carb, then what pump is correct for this carb? Thank you

Highly suggest you contact Sal Walter @ Vintage Jeeper. He deals/ sets up Weber carburetors for Jeeps and is highly knowledgeable.

I ran a 36/36 DGES, progressive, it ran best at 3PSI inlet pressure. So I ran a pressure regulator. Also check your air bleeds, any dirt it won't idle. Ron

The Weber downdraft 2bbl carbs are very sensitive to fuel pressure. I’ve found them happiest around 3-4 psi, so an adjustable regulator is almost a must. I have used a Facet brand electric pump that is factory preset to 4 psi on my old BMW.

I have a DGV-5A 32/36 on my 134L (now making 140cuin) and I run a Holley Red electric fuel pump with a Holley regulator set to 3psi. I have a 40 micron filter between the pump (which is mounted on the back of the floor rider so the top of the pump is slightly below the outlet on the tank) and the tank and then a 10 micron paper filter (Fram Cartridge style) right after the regulator before the carb no filter in the carb inlet.

Alright, I’ll look at all these suggestions for helping my situation.
I don’t have these filters and will need to check the height.
I appreciate everyone’s input and help.
