Cheap Commando

OK, so there's a reason it's cheap. But it could be the start of a LWB off road rig.

If it had a title it would be restorable, well if the frame isn't rotten. It is in Cripple Creek which has lots of casinos, I think? Maybe he bet the title and lost.

The parts may have quite a bit of value, but does it have a Dana 20 or Dana 18? Flanged rear is why I am asking.

 

Commandos all got the D20 and centered rear diff.
This one looks to be a 44 with 1 piece axles, not stock for '69.

 

Hmmm...no engine bay photo.
Can you tell if it's auto or manual?

 

The ad states “automatic”, for what thats worth. It a shame the body is beat up so bad, drivers rocker and passenger cowl/fender/roof (tree falling on it?). There doesn't appear to be any significant rust. Those rockers and fender arches are as clean as I’ve seen. I doubt the chassis has any rust, and the hardtop keeps the floors dry.
