Seems Facebook has figured me out. See more jeeps in marketplace.

    This one looks nice.

As I look at these I realize I’m getting the bug. But, I know I need to get my 64 running again first.

The market questions I have for you all is what do you look for and how to evaluate them? Another example is I have seen F134 engines or older jeeps near my 64 era, maybe for parts?

The evil side of me says hoard them but reality (budget, location, space, wife) keep me grounded but dreaming.

keep me from falling off the cliff!

That gas cap and tool dents in the side are interesting. Is it a M38 perhaps? The tiny winch is just sad.

Also the shot of it idling by on its own is pretty funny/cool. I might have to do that myself.

Clean looking. I'd expect a thorough description of the Jeep by the seller.

Definitely an M38 body, but the transmission crossframe looks like CJ-2 era stuff. It's probably a mutt.

Someone has to educate me on this one please. Its got the passenger side indents for shovel and axe, the larger fuel cap and the removable gauge panel BUT its missing the cowl battery box so how is this an M38?

It's also got a glove box, and removable floorboards over the transmission. Also M38 only items. So it's got five M38 only items but it's missing one? Seems to me it's mostly likely the missing one was modified not the other five.
