Like Glenn, I'm short and visibility really hasn't been much of a problem. That said, if (or perhaps when) I replace the next windshield in either the 3B or CJ 5's, I'm going to get the glass cut larger and glue it in like every other modern vehicle. You would get about an inch more usable glass in both directions, not have to deal with the crappy replacement gaskets, and have no leaks.

6' tall with a 66 with stock seats. I find the windshield a tad low, always bending to the side to see the traffic signals when I head into town. But just fine otherwise.

I'm 5'10" and I had to swap the w/s on my 64' to a 69' in order to see traffic lights and road signs. Thats with the top on anyway. With it off I just look over the top and most things

I also removed the seat sliders and mounted the seat as far back as it could go against the rear wheel well and it fits comfortably.

I notched the wheel wells to gain some space between the belly and the steering wheel, otherwise I am good.. 6'1"

I tried to take pictures of the seating position in my CJ vs my Commando, but it's hard to see the difference. The Commando is a little more car like with more leg room, but the steering wheel is a little bit lower, and my left leg is close to the window crank.
The CJ has a more upright seating position, picture your self sitting in dining room chair. The steering wheel is a little higher for more leg room (note that I removed the sliders on my seat, in my opinion they're unnecessary)

    6' here 36" inseam 34" waist.
All the interior is in the stock position. Biggest issue is I cannot wear thick sole boots or I cannot fit my leg between the wheel and pedal.
It's like driving after my wife has adjusted the seat in the truck.

Here's the best video I have, you can see my leg position with both clutch and brake on the floor at the very end.

Want to thank everyone for there thoughts. Think I will go ahead and look for a mid 60’s CJ. Big car show up near where I live so I am hoping someone there will have a 60s CJ I can check out.

If your Jeep selection criteria is not for something completely stock, look for one with a tilt steering column installation. Those can make a big difference in the comfort/ergonomics piloting one of these.

I saw this a little late but I felt I had to reply. I'm 6'5" with a 68 CJ-5. Seats are smittybilt on factoryish mounts. Tilt column 12-14" wheel. My soft bikini top looks like Harry and the Hendersons. I have to lean forward a lot to see through the windshield.

Honestly I'm trying to get this project done so I can make room for something like a K-5 Blazer. Nothing against the the CJ-5 but I am way too big and uncomfortable but it can be done.
