Any Idea Who Made These Wheels

I’ve had my old jeep for quite a while and never really thought of who made them. A guy stopped me today and asked who made my steel wheels. I told him I had no idea.

Both Motor Wheel and K-H were wheel vendors to Willys, the K-H wheels have a flat center ring where the lugs go. I am guessing these are Motor Wheel wheels for a wagon, truck or Jeepster, the guess being based on the hub cap nubs. Could be something else, but they look like nice wheels, and "period correct" so I wouldn't worry about it much.

My rims were made by Kalsey Hayes thus a little bit different. My jeep is the same color with the same spare tire carrier. Really they are copies of each other. Both look like 70 jeeps.

 

I have a set of original white wheels. I like the tan a bit better.

 

MD Juan makes repro solid wheels but yours are different centers and are reversed so they've been customized whatever the case

 

Clearly an aftermarket wheel, perhaps custom order Stockton Wheel Series 51? US Wheel also has a Series 51, but that has a raised bulge at the internal hubcap transition.

I remember old chrome reverse wheels that looked just like that....I wonder if there's chrome hiding under that paint?

 

No chrome under the tan paint but thanks for the suggestion.
