When using a carb spacer, do you need a gasket between the carb and spacer, and spacer to manifold?? I noticed that when i pulled my carb i didnt have any gaskets there. The spacer is made of a a composite material. So am going to bet this is probably a bad vaccum leak there, even though i didnt test and "Assumed" it was sealed because it was bolted down tightly. So right now i cant test it since the carb is off, so when i put the carb back on i am wondering if i should put gaskets there. Also is an Edelbrock a square bore carb or spread bore?? The edelbrock i am using is the one that is a Carter clone.

    Thanks!!

yep you need gaskets if the spacer is just a phenolic block

edit: The Ebrock/carter afb is a squarebore

yes it is the block. I needed it to keep the gas from boiling.
