RTV on Exhaust manifold gasket??

    I have used it before, and havnt used it. Never really noticed that much of a differnce. main thing is bolts looseneing up on me. Have you guys installed it dry or with RTV??

    OK. i will do it this time. i do have the copper sealant. but kind of just dont want to get all gooey when installing the manifolds tonight. Then i can start the jeep :)

    Dan: I've had good luck with Permatex "Copper Spray-a-Gasket". Spray 2 coats on the gasket, let it dry, and install. Havent used it on the Jeep yet, but always worked on SBC's with headers.

    Use never-sieze on the bolts and under the heads then torque to spec they will stay tight .

    only used it to hold gaskets in place.
