Silly me. I never thought about it until I got all the parts and got down to doing this mod. I'm guessing this is for single reservoir units only? I took a look at my MC and it's a dual res. Can I plumb 2 fittings into each reservoir and run off a T into the remote? It's the rubber thingy I'm worried about.

I'd hate to waste the parts I bought. :(

Just thinking out loud, but the mod was originally done on single reservior MC's. Those single MC's didn't have that rubber diaphragm (they had a vent hole allowing contamination from humidity and dust), but that clutch fluid reservoir does. I'm thinking that if you plumb from one line (remote reservoir) to the 2 cylinders (MC) that the lid from the remote will become the MC's diaphragm, and that the diaphragm from the MC will serve as a gasket only at that point. Clear as mud?

I would think you'd be OK for a couple reasons....

    1) the remote will serve to keep both compartments full on the MC
    2) the remote lid will allow the fluid "loss" without direct contact with the
    atmosphere.

Of course, making sure the rest of braking system is tip-top is priority one. The remote doesn't hold all that much fluid, so if there's a leak, you'll have to check it more often. But then, it doesn't hurt to eyeball it EVERY time the hood is open either....
