T-14 to Chevy Bellhousing

After a year or so of being away from my jeeps i am in a location i can finnally work on them. I got an idea for my 71 to put a new body on it and redo the drivetrain. I just bought a 4.3 Chevy V6 TBI and planning on swapping it in for the tired 225. The whole purpose of this is a relibile jeep and maybe a daily driver to go around town in. Maybe tow some little stuff around the shop area. My problem is (if you call it a problem) I am trying to figure out what transmission to put in. I have a t14a out of my 68 that has less than 3000 miles since rebuilt on it but not sure what it will take to bolt it up to the chevy bellhousing. I also have 2 Sm420 to Dana 18/20 adapters. One in a box and one in my 68. I am swapping in a dana 300 in my 68 so i got to change adapters in my sm420. My thinking is i'm going to have to tear down the tranny ne ways i might as well swap the tranny and tcase from the 68 to the 71 and pick up a new sm420 for 100 dollars from the local yard and put the new adapter on it

Guess I'm asking
What will it take to bolt the t14a to the chevy bellhousing?
Is there any real reason to keep the T14A or should I go with the SM420?

Of course this would be my 3rd jeep with the sm420 and like the idea of having all the parts around for one tranny. Currently putting one in a YJ and rebuilding it right now.
