    Hello Folks

I´ll try to explain (I even don´t understand myself sometimes)
My carb was burning to much gas that I decide to revise it but, there are several questions about vacuum hoses layout that I becoming nuts.
Originally when I bought it, the main line from the PCV valve were installed to the inlet manifold and (as you can see on the picture) the duct on the base between the carb and manifold were cancel, so I started checking for changes since carburation was really poor, right next when I changed PCV hose to duct marked 3 I felt a good reaction
    but it still need something
Can you please help me to figure out which hoses layout is the best? or if you have a similar carburetor, can you guide me to fix this piece of junk

    I´ll really appreciate your help

    year would be helpful Ed.

1 - Bowl vent- to air cleaner or charcoal cannister
2 - most likely ported vacuum; EGR valve, delay valves, vac advance, etc
3 - manifold vacuum; brake booster, PCV valve, etc
    4 - see #2 above
5 - see #3 above; is connected now to the dashpot/choke pull off/anti diesel, etc
NOTE: some applications, some ports may just be plugged off; you may not need them all; in other words, thru the use of vacuum tees, every port on the carb may not have/need a hose attached.
