I scored everything I need to convert my 30 to disks. $100

So in a couple of weeks, I will have a set of 11" drum backing plates + hardware for sell.

Great deal! You're going to love the disk brakes. Especially after you run through a stream.

A local 4x4 shop had a set of axles he took off a CJ. A buddy of mine bought them and I bought the knuckles/brake assembly from him. The Jeep he is putting them on already has Disks on the front.

Cool. I just recently made the same score too: everything from the knuckles out sans rotors and calipers for $100CDN (plus $62CDN shipping). You are usually pretty zippy when it comes to upgrades so I am sure you will get yours done before me. Keep us updated please.

watcha going to do about the master cylinder? Been hearing about needing to modify it (at least for front and rear disks) and I've been wearing out my rear disk pads long before the fronts. Still have my stock MC and have heard there's a spring and small restrictor plate in there that can be pulled out. Haven't researched yet enough. Maybe it is no worry in your case.

Have fun installing them - was glad to get rid of my drums. /jim

I have read that too. and because of the potential confusion I also got hold of a disc/drum mc and prop valve. Yeah, its used, but I plan on using the mc as a core, if required. What are your plans Hudson?

IM gonna see how it does with the brake swap. If there is a problem then I will adress the MC.
