I found a rear 44 axle that was changed to spring over for the wider wrangler springs. I want to weld on the original spring mounts under the axle but I don't have any decent spring perches left that weren't all hacked up from removal. Anyone know where I can get a pair to weld on (the narrow ones for my '74)? Interesting that this donor axle has interior shock mounts while the factor CJ used the spring plates -- DJ, scout?

    Thanks,

Don't know about your area but R&P stocks them at 503-557-8911. Think they are about $20 or so a pair. By the way, you need 1 3/4" wide pads as that is what the original CJ springs are all the way up to '75.

You can also make some, thats what I ussually do. Find some 1 3/4" thick wall square tube, cut to length, use a hole saw to cut the axle curve, cap the ends and drill a center pin hole.
