While driving in the rain, I really started to notice how many holes I have on the Jeep. What do you guys use to plug 'em with? There are two 3/4" (or so) drain holes on the floorboards. Are there some rubber grommets that I could plug those with? Guess I could start sticking bolts in the windshield frame holes. Just curious how everyone seals things up.

On an unrelated note, what can you use to clean softtop windows? My dog snurffled up all the windows the other day while going for a ride. Suppose just water?

The drain holes have covers that pivot to open/close the drain. Maybe someone has a picture of one...

I also use those chrome caps with all the spring fingers on one side to plug some holes.

Warm soapy water and a cotton towel, Pledge also works if there's not a lot of dirt on the windows.

Wasn't the original drain hole cover a "butterfly" thingy, that you could open and close? That's what my '56 has, and I'm sure Beachwood Canvas sells them, probably others. I'd call Walck's first though. Sorry, don't have a photo.

My 71 are butterfly shaped also.
I use 303 soft top cleaner from 4wd hardware, it is specificallly made for the windows and even after almost 10 years my windows are clear and have very few scratches on them.

If you have other size holes to plug as well, I go to the local Ace Hardware ( Lowes has'em too) and get a selection of those little black plastic hole plugs with the two ears on em which hold them in place. They also come in white but I usually paint them to match. They come in many sizes from like 1/4" up to maybe 5/8 or even 3/4. A little bead of silicone makes them pretty water tight.
