    Guy I work with has a 76 silver ann. how rare are they. It is in sad shape.

    The Silver Anniversary for the 5 was 79.

    They are out there. Collins Brothers had one for sale perfectly restored w/ the 304 for around $13k. (their prices are usually high)

    I think they are cool but not amazing from a collector stand point. If you are going to restore a Jeep it is worth doing a special model like the Silver Anniversary Edition more so than a plane jane Jeep. Does your friends Jeep have the 304 or the 6? The V-8 would be far superior to the 6.
