    Hey gang,

Does anyone have an early ('57) spring plate off-vehicle that they can measure for me? I need the center to center for the u-bolt holes. Should be 2 1/4" x 3" or something close to that......Getting ready to make some sliders. TIA!

OK, answered my own question tonite....

    This is for a set of Rancho 0~1" lift w/ 1/2" u-bolts....YMMV.

This is to mark the center of the holes with the above mods....

Rears will be centered on 3"x 2 5/16"
    Front driver is 2 3/4" x 2 5/16"
Front passenger is as above, but inward U-bolt is 3.4" x 2 5/16"

You *can* use the original spring plates, but you'll need to drill the factory holes out larger. Normally this is easy enough, but you need to fudge the holes to the outside. If you simply enlarge the hole, the u-bolts won't quite fit side-to-side and front-to-rear.

Of course, double check your plates, don't assume that what I have above is right for your Jeep.
