Transfercase?

    Should the output shaft gear slide onto the output shaft easy or hard mine is hard. Mite be wrong but I think it should move. Thanks.

    Should slide easily. Is yours damaged on the splines or something else wrong? If you have new parts you might have to lightly file the splines.

    I ran into this problem with the new spud shaft on the Novak adapter. I put the shaft on a (wood) lathe and "sanded" it down. Worked very well.

    Talking to the guys at Novak there's a lot of variability between different gears and different shafts so it's not an uncommon problem.

    Thanks for the info. I took it apart to install the twin stick I got from nickmil ,so its been that way for awhile. Might try honing the inside of the gear.
