I've been trying to pull the part in the photo at the link below for a week to get to my spindle nuts. Need to pull hibs and drum to change my front wheel cylinders.

Got some good advice earlier on removing the small allen screws. Did that but cannot get this thing moving. I did find an old exploded view of the lock-o-matic. I beleive the part(s) in question may be a drag shoe and lock washer, but I'm dancin' in the dark on how to get it off the spindle.

    Any thoughts or advice?:?

The photo is at the thread "Problem with spindle and lockout hub"

The correct way would be to use a spanner wrench, but you could do like me and use a small punch in the holes that don't have allen screws. I hate to admit that I did that.

Reread your post, I guess you missed in understanding that is one of the spindle nuts. Like Jim said in the other topic, remove the nut that has the allen screws, the washer and then the inner nut.

If he has Lockomatic hubs he needs the round nuts and washer. If he doesn't need them I'll gladly take them. ;)
