Hi, I have a jeep with some alignment problems. I check the numbers and I have a T-14, Dana 20, Dana 44, and a 78' 258 engine. The body holes and frame holes line up fine. The engine mounts and frame line up perfect, the engine is straight in the frame. However, the center crossmember will not align with the trans. mt holes, they are off by about 2"(holes in crossmember to the right and trans to the left). The shifter is also off about 1" in the body toward the pass. side. The rear axle is angled to mate with the rear end, which may be normal but odd on some jeeps.
It would seem like I have the wrong crossmember but the 75 is unique and it is definitly it. The transfer case is only about .75" away from the frame rail, so I cannot move the drivetrain over. Does anyone have any ideas about this? The trans and driveshaft needs to move right and the shifter rod need to move left. AHHH Thanks
