I am watching a steering column on ebay from a 72 did AMC stay with the ross set up in the first year 72 or did they change to another system if so what was it. The reason I ask is that the column looks just like the column I have in my 65.
    Thanks Steve

Saginaw, from '72 on. The bus wheel continued through 75, then AMC switched to the same column as in the FSJ, AFAIK. Car-like, with tilt and column-mounted switch.

Don't know about the popularity. I think it's the same (or pretty close) to the postal column, which is a popular swap. The postal columns are more plentiful.
